Love this place! Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait at the lunch and dinner rush, but if you're lucky like me, a cute employee will give you a few extra fries for your trouble. Always consistent with food quality and especially pleasant employees.

I wish you people would stop praising this place so much. The lines are long enough. And if someone from Five Guy's comes and reads this, they are going to raise their prices. Sure, the food is great. The burgers are like an explosion of meat in your mouth (no homo) and the fries are big and crafted with love. The unlimited peanuts are fantastic, and you can't go wrong with Coke products and Heinz ketchup. But stop rating them so high. Stop reviewing them. Stop telling everyone how you can go there and get a good burger for five bucks. Let's all pretend it sucks there, ok?

This location has everything you have come to love about Five Guys and the added bonus that it's in Chauncey Hill and makes great pre- and post-drinking food. I am still living in the past, so it's hard to forget that where a Radio Shack and Five Guys is now, there used to be a Fazoli's and the Wabash Yacht Club, but I'm a fucking dinosaur. It was nice to be at Purdue for Grand Prix and have some decent food near the bars.

Five guys has delicious burgers at twice the price! PROS: -They offer tons of toppings including onions(grilled or raw), jalapenos, green peppers, pickles, etc etc. -delicious, tasty, juicy burgers -everything is made to order, so your burger is always super fresh -free peanuts -huge portions of french fries CONS: -a cheeseburger costs $7 -burgers can be a little greasy -the fries dont taste good(some people love them. i do not) -the staff is mostly ex-prisoners -service is slow during rush hours Bottom line: $7 cheeseburgers arent worth it UPDATE: 2/2/15 I have visited 5-guys a few more times, and my experience has improved. Most notably, the staff has changed for the better. The employees whom served me have been much more friendly, courteous, and professional than I had previously encountered. They even turned the music down to a much more tolerable level. I assume the improvements are the result of new management. Well done!

I usually enjoy Five Guys burgers and fries, however, my experience at this particular location was awful. I was the second customer of the day on May 10 at 11:03 AM. A family of three was the first customer and ordered 3 burgers. One of the orders was wrong so the mother showed the workers what was wrong with the burger by touching the burger. I am almost certain that that burger was supposed to be mine because she didn't order any burgers with "jalapeño peppers." As I was standing in front, waiting for my burger, the griller/cook took the burger that the customer touched all over and rewrapped it in another set of foil, in front of my face and gave me the order. I confronted the workers, but the cook was completely ignoring the conversation that I was starting. This isn't the first time I have received bad service. 2 other times, they got my order wrong and wouldn't remake my burger because I bit into the burger. This kind of "service" is complete trash and this business should be taken down. TL;DR Do not go to this business. Your well earned money is better appreciated elsewhere.

The burgers are delicious and consistent. I love the Cajun fries here, although they went up in price. I always thought the secret ingredient in their fries was MSG or something synthetic because it's so darn good. So on my last visit I requested to see the Cajun seasoning ingredients and the guy handing me my order showed me the back of the seasoning carton. I can't freakin believe that it's all natural seasoning ingredients like paprika, some herb I don't remember and salt. Food comes fast and hot. Well priced also!

I have always loved the burgers from here, but my experience at this particular store yesterday was less than satisfactory. We walked in and our order was taken by a very seemingly lazy employee who was sitting the entire time. I am not big on soggy fries, so I asked if she could get them to cook them a little longer. She replied with "I'll see what I can do" and never bothered to ring the request in the computer or ask the cooks at all. Our request was just ignored. I will be finding another location to visit after this experience

Have you ever wanted a classic burger and fries meal that makes you want to throw up, pass out for several hours, or simply fester in a caloric intake that is enough for two days of eating? Five Guys is for you! It may seem rather expensive when you order, which means your burger and fries might be around $10 depending on what you order and what size you order, but you get a ridiculously large amount of delicious food when you do. I absolutely love eating here, but as I mentioned before, it is very fattening and mind-numbing afterwards. If you want something easy and cheap, McDonald's might seem like more of your cup of tea, but if you have some extra money to blow or are just too drunk to care, Five Guys is the ultimate choice. It is open really late and the workers there are patient and friendly, no matter how drunk you are when you order. While you wait for your food to be made, which takes 5-10 minutes, they have boxes of peanuts that you are able to eat while you wait, acting almost as an appetizer. I really like this feature. I highly recommend the double burger with lots of toppings and the Cajun fries, but that's just me.

Clean, simple and pure burgers! I love this place except when it is full of drunk college kids late at night.

One of my favorite places to eat in West Lafayette. Five Guys is terrific! The staff is friendly, the burgers are always great, and it is fun to people-watch. I have probably been here thirty times, and never had a bad experience. They are open until 10pm on weeknights (wish they were open later) and till 4am on weekend nights which is awesome. It is also a good value. Since fast food prices went up (I just paid $6 for a meal at McD's today), why not spend the extra $2-3 and get a really good burger at Five Guys.

Man I love this place. This reminds me of the old Ed's & Ed's by Jeff High School. Perfectly cooked greasy burger with great cheese and toppings. It is a little expensive for a hamburger, but man is it good. Not only is the burger good, but the insane amount of fries they give you is a plus. Can't wait for my next visit. It will probably be real soon. Yep!

If you love a good, thick, diner-style burger then you will love this place. A great fast location to get in, get a solid burger and get out. With a variety of toppings for your burger and other menu options (if you are not in the burger mood) means that this place won't get stale. The staff is friendly and easy going too! I say give it a shot!

This place had a really good burger. Like, surprisingly good. The meat on the burger tested like it belonged at a restaurant. The fries were fresh and amazing also, also a bit too salted (and I love salt). I would trade Five Guys for In-n-Out any day.

Go for Cajun style fries together with a cheeseburger... Makes me smile every time.. Price is kinda high for fast food though

Best burger in the area, personally I prefer the five guys over AJs across from the street just because five guys have so much more varieties for topping choices and delicious Cajun style fries.

What can you say about those place that so many haven't. The portions, the price, and the service is always great. There's only two places I go for a burger craving and it's here and Dt Kirby's. The fact that you can customize your burger without it being 50 cents extra for toppings is really nice. Plus the fries are more than enough for two people to share. All in all it's a must to check out!!!

Best burger you can find in town. The only negative is what this place does to your waist line. Protip: you get more than twice the amount of fries you expect. Plan on sharing.

Great location, but that's it, walked into this place and the music was extremly loud, (oldies) could barely hear the girl taking my order and I had to repeat myself a couple times because she couldn't hear me. I got a Cheese buger, fries and a pop (soda) for a total of $9 and some change very close to $10 no big deal if the food was worth it or good, The french fries that come from where ever in Idaho were so bad over cooked, they were stalh there was just nothing to them. The Cheese buger ended up bring a double that was over cooked and greasy coming out of the bun from ever direction, but I can get that same buger from a fast food joint that will only charge me a dollar, the quality of the food here is horrible and way over priced, the pop was good ol' foutian pop and that was the best thing from this place. If you want a real $5 buger go to Carl's jr or Hardee's, if you want something simular to this place go to wendys and get yourself a double stack from there it's cheaper and way better!

Had to go all the way to Lafayette, IN to experience my first Five Guys burger and fries. Never have gotten to their San Antonio location. First of all, a burger is a burger is a burger. When it comes to reviewing a burger place, it's all about what else accompanies the meat. What makes Five Guys a 5-stars in my book is what it comes with. All toppings are free, you pick as many or as few as you want. Did I mention they have grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, A-1, jalapeños, and more--16 toppings in all? Then there's the fries...don't bother with the large order. Get the regular size fries, they fill a cup with them, then throw in twice as many as fit into the cup and throw them into the bag with your burger. You will not be able to eat them all! The fries are a nice thick cut, with some of the potato skin still on, and you can have the regular seasoning (very nice flavor), or you can go Cajun seasoning--oh me oh my!! Finally, there's the service. While we were there, I can't tell you how many times somebody came by the table to ask if everything was OK, or if we needed a refill on our sodas. Very friendly folks! Oh, yeah, while you are waiting for your order, they have peanuts you can munch on for free. I like this place a lot!

Oh, delicious. I always tell myself I'll get something new when I come here, but I don't. When you walk in, your arrival is usually announced by the cashier ("Two in the door!"). There are base prices for every meal: hamburger, cheeseburger, little hamburger, little cheeseburger, and so on. Grilled cheese and hot dogs are also on the menu. I get the little cheeseburger, which has one patty, as opposed to the cheeseburger, which has two. All toppings, except for cheese and bacon, come included in the price of the meal. My favorites are lettuce, ketchup, mustard, grilled onions, and pickles. I highly recommend the cajun fries (with a ton of ketchup). A regular order of fries is more than enough for two people. Although my heart will always belong to In-n-Out, as I'm a west coast girl, Five Guys will do until I can get back. :)

I will preface by saying that I generally only get a burger and a water, so this place always ends up being super cheap for me. The food is done fast, there are peanuts to snack on, and you can customize your burger pretty much any which way you'd like. The fries are delicious... and when I do get them I'm happy to pay a bit more for them because they are far superior to other fast food fries, and you get a lot of them. I've stumbled in here a few nights (what can I say... it's a good location!) and they are very accommodating when you're less than articulate after a few beverages from one of the bars down the road.

I'm from California. There's nothing quite like In'N'Out here. Five guys is like In'N'Out of the east! And thats all I have to say about that .... .. well no. The fries are delicious.. and they give you sooooo many of them! Yum...
